In May of 2004, during a commercial break, there was an unknown contestant, playing for $100,000 on Super Millionaire, who went by the name of "Jonathan". He was faced with an obvious question, used his Ask the Audience and Phone a Friend, but what would Jonathan turn out doing? Find out as you read about the $100,000 question that was faced by a Guy Named "Jonathan".
Jonathan's Run to $10 Million Edit
|$100,000 (10 of 15) - Not Timed|
| The host of ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is Jimmy who? |
'Ask the Audience' and 'Phone a Friend' lifelines used
|• A: Johnson - 33%||• B: Kowalski - 33%|
|• C: Kimmel - 0%||• D: O'Kimmel - 34%|
|Not going with the mixed-up percentages, Jonathan used his Phone a Friend lifeline to call a security guard in Los Angeles, CA. The guard went by the name of Frank. When the 30 seconds started, instead of Jonathan reading the question and answers, Regis did that task. At the 14-second mark, Frank guessed Conan O'Brien, not knowing the answer. Regis then pointed out that Conan was not one of the choices. Frank eventually did not give an answer in time. Regis then told Jonathan to think thoroughly and that Jimmy Kimmel was, in fact, standing right next to him with his name on his sweater. Denying the cheat, Jonathan walked with the $50,000.|
So, there you have it. That footage turned out to be a promo for "Jimmy Kimmel Live", which actually premiered on January 26, 2003. I actually looked up for the last name of this "Jonathan" guy and the month of May 2004. The reason why is because the May series' logo was different from February's logo. I never saw that on the statistics chart.
